What happens when parents walk into an event holding 10,000 dollars in project funding in their hands, carefully assessing and investing in student ideas from booth to booth? At the recent SIPC Innovation Expo Parent Investor Day, every visiting family received 10,000 SIPC Expo Dollars at the entrance. For once, parents were not only watching from the sidelines; they were invited to step into their children's project world as investors.
如果有一天，每位家长来学校时都手握一万元项目资金，在一排排学生展位之间认真考察和投资，学习会变成什么样子？在刚刚结束的SIPC学生项目路演-家长投资场上，每个走进校园的家庭，都领取了10,000元项目资金币，这一次，家长不再只是观众，而是被邀请走进孩子项目世界的投资人。

Convince Decision-Making Investors
Before this day, students had already spent weeks preparing for the Innovation Expo. They started with a problem, conducted research and interviews, built prototypes, refined their ideas, and practised their pitches again and again in front of classmates and teachers.
在活动开始之前，学生们已经准备了数周时间。他们从一个问题出发，做调研、做访谈、搭建原型、反复修改方案，又在同学和老师面前，一遍遍练习路演。
At the Parent Investor Day, however, they faced an audience with real decision-making power for the first time. In just a few minutes, they had to clearly explain: why the problem they chose is worth solving, how their solution differs from what already exists, and what they would do next if they received more funding. For many students, it felt more real than usual.They had to handle questions and doubts, and learn to use data, logic and storytelling to earn each parent's trust.
而在家长投资场上，他们**次站在真正有选择权的观众面前，需要在有**间里讲清楚：

· 他们的方案和现有做法有什么不同
· 如果得到资金，下一步会怎么做
很多学生坦言，这是一次比平时更真实的体验，要面对提问、面对质疑，也要学会用数据、逻辑和故事，赢得一位又一位家长的信任。

Parents’ Transformation
For parents, this was also a shift in perspective. Instead of simply accompanying their children to an event, they were asked to think and act like investors making real decisions.
对家长来说，这也是一次视角的转换。从陪孩子参加活动的人，变成需要做出投资决策的人，很多家长开始以一种全新的方式打量学生和同伴的作品。
Some parents focused on whether the projects truly understood their users. Others paid attention to how clearly the teams divided roles and structured their presentations. Some even asked themselves, if this were a real product, would I actually pay for it? When all of this came together in those moments in front of parents, what our students gained was not simply a record of who received the most Expo Dollars, but the experience of taking real responsibility for their ideas in front of a real audience.
有人格外关注项目是否真正理解用户；有人更在意团队分工是否清晰、表达是否有条理；也有人在认真评估：如果这是一个真实的产品，我会不会愿意买单？当这些过程汇聚成家长面前的几分钟，孩子真正得到的，不是一两张**项目资金币的统计表，而是一次在真实观众面前，为自己想法负责任的经历。
We would like to thank every parent who joined the SIPC Innovation Expo, who took the time to listen, to ask, to think, and then to invest their Expo Dollars. You were not just attending a showcase. You were co-creating a real learning experience together with our students and our school. Going forward, SIPC will continue to innovatively design project-based, interdisciplinary and real-world learning experiences, so that more students can learn by doing, understand by presenting, and grow by being truly seen.
